Stepping onto the stage at Amazon for International Women’s Day, I felt an incredible mix of excitement and responsibility.

💡 Why? Because I wasn’t just speaking about perimenopause—I was talking to high-achieving women who are balancing leadership, careers, and personal lives, all while navigating the unpredictable shifts of this phase.

Thriving in Perimenopause

For many women, perimenopause isn’t just hot flashes—it’s brain fog before a big meeting, anxiety before a presentation, or exhaustion when you need to be at your best. And yet, we rarely talk about it in professional spaces.

That’s why this conversation was so powerful.

How I Managed My Brain While Speaking on Stage

Standing in front of a room full of brilliant women, I knew my brain needed to be sharp, calm, and present. Perimenopause can make that unpredictable, so I prepared intentionally:

🧘🏽‍♀️ Breathwork & Grounding – Before stepping on stage, I did coherent breathing (inhale for 4, exhale for 6) to regulate my nervous system and shift into focus.

🧠 Mental Anchoring – I used a neuroscience-backed tool where I visualized the outcome I wanted: women leaving the session feeling empowered and seen. This kept my brain in a state of clarity rather than self-doubt.

👑 Embodiment Practices – I stood in my power, using my body language to command presence—not just for the audience, but for my confidence.

🎤 Flow Over Perfection – Instead of chasing perfection, I trusted my experience, my knowledge, and the energy in the room.

The result? A powerful conversation where women felt SEEN, HEARD, and EQUIPPED to navigate perimenopause without fear.

The Future of Women in Leadership

Perimenopause isn’t a career-ending phase. It’s a call to lead differently—to honour your body, your mind, and your evolving wisdom.

As more workplaces (like Amazon!) open up space for these conversations, we create a future where women don’t feel the need to suffer in silence, but instead thrive with the right tools and support.
