WHY THE MASLOW’S HIERARCHY OF NEEDS IS SO F*UKED UP
What I’ve noticed with the Maslow Hierarchy of needs is that it reduces people to a paycheck. It keeps you locked into the systemic system.
It forgets about the brave ones, the ones that go against the odds, the true rebel, those who want to live beyond mediocrity.
While work can be meaningful, we need to think carefully before accepting managerial ideas of fulfilment through a full-time job, what I’ve noticed is that the more you settle with formalities the more you risk losing your unique superpower in the process.
No matter where we are in life people still desire connection so focusing on physiological needs is not the most important thing in life.
I think they all intertwine however our main focus needs to change if we want to thrive.
We can get our basic needs met in communion not so much in individualism.
Capitalism is all about capital accumulation, wage labour, competitive markets, and what’s in it for me. How much can I get at the expense of others?

Oppression is essential for capitalism.
I believe the hierarchy of needs should begin by creating a sense of belonging. When we feel a sense of belonging, we feel safe to feel and this inspires a new world.
A new world of self-actualization, becoming everything that one is capable of becoming.
Individuals who feel a sense of security, belonging and trust in the community have a strong sense of tenacity.
DOUBLE TAP IF YOU AGREE WITH THIS.
One of my biggest desire is to be witnessed and celebrated, the more am celebrated the more confident I become, and the more confident I become the more I show up doing what I love which build’s competences.
This is how we can create a new world for ourselves.
